Height-adjustable mobile platform for PAX DOOR access

FORTAL designed and manufactured a custom height-adjustable, towable mobile platform specifically developed to provide safe access to aircraft passenger doors (PAX DOOR). Thanks to its hydraulic height-adjustment system, operated from ground level, the platform easily adapts to different aircraft access heights, ranging from 2,500 to 3,500 mm. This versatility allows the same equipment to be used for several aircraft configurations, simplifying ground operations.

Its robust aluminum structure, combined with a galvanized steel frame, ensures excellent strength and durability. Access to the platform is provided by a staircase equipped with anti-slip steps and safety handrails, allowing operators to ascend and descend comfortably. The spacious anti-slip ribbed aluminum platform accommodates two operators and provides a stable, safe working area.

The peripheral guardrails, comprising a fixed section and a removable front section, protect operators while facilitating access to the aircraft. Rubber protection on the aircraft-facing side also minimizes the risk of impact when positioning the platform.

To facilitate movement across airport areas, the equipment features a retractable tow bar and wheels suitable for ground handling. Once the platform is positioned, independent stabilizing jacks ensure stability during maintenance operations.

Compliant with NF EN 12312-8, this PAX DOOR access platform provides a versatile and durable solution designed to improve operator safety, facilitate aircraft maintenance operations, and optimize the use of ground support equipment.
