Mobile stepladder for access above the transition box

Customer request:
Enable operators to access above the transition box in an aeronautical production environment, using a mobile, stable, and fully secure solution, tailored to the sector’s ergonomic and precision requirements.

FORTAL Solution:

Design and manufacture of a custom mobile stepladder, equipped with a sliding platform allowing operators to work comfortably above the maintenance zone. Thanks to its lightweight, corrosion-resistant extruded aluminum structure, the solution is ideal for indoor use and ensures long-lasting durability without maintenance.

Access is made easy via a wide staircase, inclined at 45°, with anti-slip aluminum steps. Stability is guaranteed by counterweights, locking stabilizer jacks, and braked wheels designed for workshop floors. The sliding platform, with an 800 mm travel, allows for precise adjustment of the working position, while remaining secure thanks to an integrated locking system.

To guarantee safe working conditions, the stepladder is equipped with robust guardrails featuring a handrail, intermediate rail, and baseboard. A front cut-out even allows work in a lying position, without interrupting the continuity of protective elements.
